Tanya Waalkens

An ex-Dairy Farmer, having previously owned an Avocado Orchard and co-owned a retail business in Whangarei for 13 years, Tanya brings a wealth of experience to the Harcourts Optimize Group.

After the orchard sold and Tanya’s retail business closed, she wanted a role in customer service and admin and worked as part-time receptionist for an osteopath for 18 months.

Tanya joined Harcourts as the full-time Receptionist for Harcourts Whangarei in April 2018, before moving into the position of PA to the Sales team. 14 months later, after having learned a lot about the business, and gaining experience in many aspects of the real estate world, Tanya settled into the role of Contracts and Finance Support, embracing her love of figures!

Married with three children and two stepchildren, Tanya and her husband live in the country on a 7-acre block of land, where they are blessed with a big garden, cows, chooks, dogs, a cat, gold fish, and sheep!
